Needs attention now
- Hair. Everywhere. Your coils are packed and your exhaust is blocked. No other trade on this list fouls equipment as fast as grooming, and standard annual servicing is nowhere near enough.
- Dryer heat load. High-velocity dryers dump serious heat into a room that was sized without accounting for them. Your AC is fighting equipment you added later.
- Animal welfare risk. Heat stress in dogs comes on fast, especially brachycephalic breeds. Under-ventilated boarding on a hot day is the real exposure here, not comfort.

Quietly costing you money
Packed coils can cost 20–30% of capacity in a room already fighting dryer heat. You’re running two units flat out to do the work of one and a half. Quarterly cleaning costs less than the power you’re wasting, before you count the years it adds to the equipment.
