The Story
After 10+ years working in the HVAC industry for other companies — installing, servicing, and repairing domestic air conditioning systems across Sydney — I decided to go out on my own.
JSHVAC started the way most HVAC businesses do. Standard domestic work — split system installs, ducted gas heater services, broken air conditioner replacements. Done properly.
But along the way, something kept happening. Customers would call about a problem with their smart thermostat, or their ducted AC wouldn't pair with the app, or they'd bought a controller upgrade and couldn't get it working. These weren't jobs for a truck roll — they were 15-minute phone fixes. But nobody offered that as a service.
So I started offering it. Remote troubleshooting over the phone — $49 flat, no truck roll, no call centre, just a licenced tech who actually knows how these systems work.
That's JSHVAC. I still do full installations, servicing and repairs — that's the core of the business. And if your smart controller is being difficult, I can sort that over a call. If something needs to be looked at in person, I'll tell you honestly and the session fee comes off the job.
